Celebrate FFGC’s 100th anniversary! Plant a tree for Florida’s Arbor Day 2024!
Join 235 garden clubs in Florida in planting a tree on Friday, January 19th.

Suggested Timeline –

May 19 –  CHOOSE an Arbor Day coordinator for YOUR garden club. Submit name & contact information to me

June 19 – DECIDE HOW to buy/obtain YOUR tree. Decide how to raise funds if needed.

July 19 –  DECIDE WHERE to plant tree. Get permission if needed.

Aug 19 –  DECIDE WHAT kind of tree to plant and where to obtain. Order if needed.

Sep 19 –  DECIDE WHO to Invite. Decide who will plant & water afterward the tree is planted

Oct 19 –   DRAFT & SHARE YOUR garden club’s Arbor Day plans. Get help solving problems if needed.

Nov 19 –  FINALIZE & SUBMIT YOUR garden club’s Arbor Day  Plans.

Dec 19 –  HAVE invitations & media releases ready to send in early January or perhaps in December

Jan 19 –  PLANT Arbor Day 2024 Tree in YOUR Community!

Feb 19 – THANK all involved. SEND photos, media coverage of planting, etc. to me at lynn_artz@hotmail.com
